Adobe Engage - Kevin Chesney - Acesis

Acesis is Web 2.0 in a mission-critical clinical setting.

Their belief is that existing electronic health records are less efficient than pen and paper. Heart of the problem is data capture. Must be really easy. Forms have too many fields and they aren’t the ones that are needed.

Their model is to fill out a hierarchical template in a non-threatening way, using the patient’s own words. The interviewer can add details in real time as needed, using a semi-structured model. Forms are built by physicians and can be shared within a practice or a community.
