The other Jeff Barr
I sure wish that I had registered jeffbarr.com a few years ago. Now some other Jeff Barr has it, and I’ll never get it. He sells real estate in Carlsbad, California.

I agree. What bugs me about “robsolomon.com”, though is that they’ve never done anything useful with it. And by “useful” I don’t mean in a way that is helpful to me. The whois record says its been registered since 1999 but I’m certain it was registered by someone else prior to that. And its always said something about “coming soon!” or “under construction”.
If they were doing something that was helpful to SOMEone, I would understand. Even if its for “Rob Solomon’s” entertainment; that would be fine.
I guess I could offer to buy it, but truth be told it doesn’t bother me enough to spend actual money on it. So I sit back and bide my time and wait for “Rob Solomon” to fail to renew his contract. And then, like a cobra, I will strike!
Rob “Cobra” Solomon.
That’s me.

I too have a couple .com addresses I am waiting to become available. In the meantime, I just use the .net equivilent.
Not everyone uses domain’s for websites. I have mine primarily for e-mail. I was tired of telling my friends every blue moon or so that my e-mail address was changing because my ISP had been bought, sold, gone through a restructure.
